About

Varkiza is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Attica, stretching approximately 1 km with thick golden sand and shallow, calm waters ideal for families and children. It holds the Blue Flag award and is divided into an organized section with sunbeds, restaurants, sports facilities, and nautical services, and a free, unorganized section open to all visitors. Guests can enjoy water sports such as windsurfing and water skiing, while the surrounding area offers cafes, tavernas, and shops.

Access

The beach is located approximately 23 km south of Athens city centre and is easily accessible by car via Poseidonos Avenue (GR-91), or by public transport using the Metro (Line 2, Argyroupoli station) followed by bus 122Θ or 171 to the Varkiza Beach stop.
