Chiliadou is one of the most famous and impressive beaches in Evia, stretching at the foot of Mount Dirfys with views over the open Aegean Sea. The shoreline features a mix of sand and pebbles of various sizes, while large rocks scattered in and out of the water divide it into smaller, more secluded coves. The waters are crystal clear and ideal for swimming, although the beach's north-facing orientation often exposes it to strong winds.
Access is by car via Chalkida and the mountain village of Steni, crossing the Dirfys pass and descending with many bends towards Stropones, covering a total distance of approximately 135 km from Athens (about 2–2.5 hours).
