Agia Anna is the most famous beach on Amorgos, known worldwide as the filming location of Luc Besson's 'The Big Blue'. It is a rocky and pebbly cove of unique wild beauty, with deep blue, crystal-clear waters that deepen quickly, making it ideal for diving and snorkeling. The whitewashed chapel of Agia Anna perched on the cliff above the bay, combined with the surrounding dramatic rocks and islets, create a stunning and completely unspoiled landscape with no sunbeds or tourist facilities.
The beach is accessible by car to a parking area near the chapel of Agia Anna, from where a descending stepped path leads down to the shore, and there is also a regular bus connection from Chora.
